Behaviour modification by mouth, 220 mg/kg 3 times daily
Sorry this is TOTALLY WRONG -MICROgrams maybe - but never mg. Please correct this and I have no idea what use this would be for behaviour modification other than to dope a pet ! PM Veterinary surgeon.
Mrs Lynn Stonemans comments are deceiving and nearly stopped me buying these, but luckily i spoke to my vet first. Mrs Stoneman is right- Piriton is not made for animals, which is why the human tablets are used. BUT, They make no difference, the dosage is safe, the tablets are safe.
I hope Mrs Stoneman bought the tablets with recommendation from a vet as self medicating our animals should be done with experience and knowledge.
My vet prescribed Piriton for my Shar Peis who were very itchy. This medication is a god send and i noticed a difference in my Peis very quickly.
Its nice to be able to buy a large quantity rather than being charged £7 for a few tablets.
Thanks PetMeds- i'll see you again in a few months!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Review 3 for Piriton (500 x 4mg)

Piriton didn't help my GSP. When Piriton arrived after 5 days, it was a plain box containing tablets. I contacted Piriton who stated they did not make a Piriton for dogs. Piriton contacted Petmeds who confirmed this product that was advertised for dogs is in fact for humans. It didn't work for my dog and he got the shakes. However, the leaflet inside said dogs can use it, and I know of someone who uses it successfully for their dog.
